Sr. Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) - Public Sector

- 01Work with clients on short to medium term engagements addressing big data challenges using the Databricks platform
- 02Provide data engineering, data science, and cloud technology solutions, including integration with client systems and training
- 03Design and build reference architectures and productionalize customer use cases
- 04Scope professional services work with engagement managers and customer input
- 05Guide strategic customers through end‑to‑end design, build and deployment of big data and AI applications
- 06Consult on architecture and design, bootstrap or implement customer projects
- 07Provide escalated support for customer operational issues
- 08Collaborate with Databricks technical team, project managers, architects and customer teams to deliver technical components
- 09Provide product and implementation feedback to Engineering and Customer Support
- 10Document solutions and create white‑boarding materials
Требования
- 01U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a U.S. government secret clearance (active Secret or higher preferred)
- 026+ years experience in data engineering, data platforms and analytics
- 03Strong coding skills in Python or Scala
- 04Working knowledge of at least two major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) with deep expertise in one
- 05Extensive experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark and knowledge of Spark runtime internals
- 06Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for production deployments
- 07Working knowledge of MLOps concepts
- 08Proven ability to deliver technical projects, manage scope and timelines
- 09Experience working directly with clients and handling conflicts
- 10Willingness to travel to customer sites up to 20% of the time

- 01Base salary range $180,656 – $248,360 USD depending on location (Zones 1‑4)
