Sr. Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) - Public Sector

- 01Work with customers on short to medium term engagements on big data challenges using the Databricks platform.
- 02Provide data engineering, data science, and cloud technology projects integrating with client systems, training, and other technical tasks to help customers maximize data value.
- 03Complete projects according to specification with excellent customer service as a billable RSA.
- 04Report to the regional Manager/Lead.
- 05Handle impactful customer technical projects including designing and building reference architectures, creating how-to guides, and productionalizing customer use cases.
- 06Collaborate with engagement managers to scope professional services work based on customer input.
- 07Guide strategic customers implementing transformational big data projects and third-party migrations, including end-to-end design, build, and deployment of big data and AI applications.
- 08Consult on architecture and design; bootstrap or implement customer projects leading to successful understanding, evaluation, and adoption of Databricks.
- 09Provide escalated support for customer operational issues.
- 10Collaborate with Databricks Technical, Project Manager, Architect, and Customer teams to ensure technical components meet customer needs.
- 11Work with Engineering and Databricks Customer Support to provide product and implementation feedback and guide rapid resolution of engagement-specific issues.
- 12Build skills in technical areas that support deployment and integration of Databricks-based solutions to complete customer projects.
Требования
- 01US Top Secret clearance required; TS/SCI preferred.
- 026+ years experience in data engineering, data platforms, and analytics.
- 03Comfortable writing code in Python or Scala.
- 04Working knowledge of two or more cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) with expertise in at least one.
- 05Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark and knowledge of Spark runtime internals.
- 06Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments.
- 07Working knowledge of MLOps.
- 08Design and deployment of performant end-to-end data architectures.
- 09Experience with technical project delivery, managing scope and timelines.
- 10Documentation and white-boarding skills.
- 11Experience working with clients and managing conflicts.
- 12Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 13Ability to travel up to 30% when needed.

- 01Position based in the Washington, D.C., Maryland, or Virginia metropolitan area with periodic on-site work and client collaboration.
- 02Pay range: $180,656 - $248,360 USD (applies to all four geographic zones).
- 03Eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and standard Databricks benefits.
- 04Ability to travel up to 30% when needed.
