Sr. Forward Deployed Engineer - Public Sector

01Work on impactful customer technical projects including designing and building reference architectures, creating how-to's, and productionalizing customer use cases
02Guide strategic customers as they implement transformational big data projects and 3rd party migrations, including end-to-end design, build and deployment of big data and AI applications
03Consult on architecture and design; bootstrap or implement customer projects to ensure successful understanding, evaluation and adoption of Databricks
04Provide escalated support for customer operational issues
05Work with Databricks technical team, Project Manager, Architect, and Customer team to ensure technical components meet customer needs
06Work with Engineering and Databricks Customer Support to provide product feedback and guide resolution of product and support issues

016+ years experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics
02Comfortable writing code in either Python or Scala
03Working knowledge of two or more common Cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) with expertise in at least one
04Deep experience with distributed computing with Apache Spark™ and knowledge of Spark runtime internals
05Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments
06Working knowledge of MLOps
07Experience with technical project delivery - managing scope and timelines
08Documentation and white-boarding skills
09Experience working with clients and managing conflicts
10Build skills in technical areas supporting deployment and integration of Databricks-based solutions
11U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a U.S. government secret clearance are required
