Обязанности
- 01Lead initiatives within Elasticsearch to produce an industry-leading search engine offering
- 02Contribute to Elasticsearch full time, building new search features and fixing bugs
- 03Write idiomatic modern Java
- 04Work with community members from all over the world on issues and pull requests
- 05Identify and drive improvements in search relevance
- 06Work with a globally distributed team of experienced engineers focused on the vector search capabilities of Elasticsearch
Требования
- 01Professional experience with search or vector databases
- 02Experience with HNSW, IVF, or other relevant algorithms and libraries on search platforms at scale
- 03Solid skills in core Java and conversant in the standard library of data structures and concurrency constructs
- 04Ability to work with a high level of autonomy and take on projects from beginning to end
- 05Comfortable developing collaboratively and giving/receiving feedback
- 06Experience with data storage technologies like Elasticsearch, Solr, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra
- 07Proven track record of using AI to accelerate development, debug complex systems, and optimize code
- 08Ability to collaborate across functions and teams and transition between different projects
Условия
- 01Compensation is in the form of base salary: $128,300 – $203,000 CAD
- 02Role does not have a variable compensation component
- 03Eligible to participate in Elastic's stock program
- 04Company-matched Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) with dollar-for-dollar matching up to 6% of eligible earnings
- 05Distributed/remote work environment
- 06Collaboration over email, GitHub, Zoom, and Slack
