Senior Engineering Manager, Consumption Based Billing & Licensing

- 01Lead and grow a team of engineers working across backend systems, platform services, and customer-facing experiences.
- 02Set technical direction and help shape the roadmap for licensing and billing capabilities.
- 03Partner closely with Product, Design, Data, Finance, Sales, and other engineering teams to turn ambiguous business needs into shipped solutions.
- 04Drive execution on projects such as licensing and access control, usage tracking and billing, admin dashboards, alerts, and controls, bulk and automated license assignment, trial and add-on provisioning flows.
- 05Make thoughtful trade-offs across scalability, reliability, correctness, and speed of delivery.
- 06Coach engineers, support their growth, and build a high-performing team culture.
- 07Communicate clearly with senior stakeholders and explain technical decisions in business-friendly terms.
Требования
- 01Strong engineering management experience, ideally at the level of leading a team through complex product and platform work.
- 02Experience working on fintech systems with real business impact, such as billing, monetization, entitlements, payments, or other infrastructure-heavy domains.
- 03Ability to lead through ambiguity and move work forward across multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
- 04Strong technical judgment and comfort discussing architecture, data models, APIs, and system reliability.
- 05Track record of hiring, coaching, and developing engineers.
- 06Clear, practical communication style and strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
- 07A product mindset and curiosity about how technology supports new business models.
- 08Experience with usage-based or consumption-based pricing models.
- 09Experience with SaaS billing, licensing, or entitlement systems.
- 10Experience building admin tools or customer-facing operational dashboards.
- 11Background in platform, backend, or distributed systems work.
- 12Experience working in a fast-moving product environment with evolving requirements.

- 01Based in Vancouver office with an office-centric hybrid schedule.
- 02Standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
- 03Option to work from home on Wednesdays.
- 04Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work and teams partnered with.
- 05Estimated base salary range is between $238,000-$270,000 CAD.
