01Ramp on Vapi's platform architecture, APIs, and agent capabilities
02Shadow customer deployments and technical discovery calls
03Learn the technical architecture of current enterprise customer implementations
04Lead technical discovery with customers and design solution architectures
05Build rapid prototypes using AI-assisted development tools
06Produce architecture diagrams and technical documentation for customer deployments
07Own end-to-end technical design for enterprise deployments
08Architect complex integrations using APIs, webhooks, and event-driven systems
09Partner with engineering and product to identify platform improvements from customer feedback

015+ years in solutions architecture, pre-sales engineering, technical consulting, or similar customer-facing technical roles
02Strong ability to translate business requirements into technically sound solutions and communicate effectively with both engineers and executives
03Experience owning end-to-end customer engagements and delivering complex technical solutions with measurable outcomes
04Comfortable working with enterprise customers ($240K+ ACV) in complex stakeholder environments
05Autonomous and self-directed, able to scope, design, and drive solutions independently
06Proficiency in agent design and AI-assisted development, including rapid prototyping using tools such as Claude Code, Cowork, or similar developer tooling
07Experience designing agentic workflows including tool use, function calling, and multi-step reasoning chains
08Strong experience architecting API-first integrations using REST APIs, webhooks, and event-driven systems
09Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python or JavaScript
10Experience working with conversational AI, voice or telephony platforms, NLP/NLU systems, or LLM-based applications
11Experience with SIP or WebRTC
12Experience with CPaaS platforms such as Twilio, Vonage, or Genesys
