- 01Lead first-line Managers and teams of pre-sales Solutions Architects
- 02Partner closely with Sales to grow product consumption
- 03Coach sales and pre-sales teams to operate as a single, high-performing unit
- 04Articulate complex, business value-focused solutions
- 05Support sophisticated enterprise sales cycles
- 06Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders in large Japanese corporations
- 07Hire and manage first-line Managers and a growing team of technical pre-sales Solutions Architects
- 08Build a highly collaborative culture within a rapid-growth team
- 09Increase the return on investment of SA involvement in sales cycles
- 10Build long-term, trust-based relationships with customers
- 11Understand the local market landscape and trends
- 12Report on forces that shape the strategic direction of accounts
- 13Champion a solution- and value-based selling motion across Field Engineering
- 14Demonstrate a strong understanding of business needs and revenue potential across your territory
- 15Build the Databricks brand in Japan in partnership with the Marketing and Sales teams

- 01Second-line leadership experience (manager of managers) leading teams of 20+ individuals
- 02Demonstrated success in high-growth enterprise software pre-sales
- 03Senior-level tenure at a reputable software company
- 04Deep experience in the Japan market
- 05Proven ability to elevate customer engagement
- 06Track record of closing large, complex transactions and scaling high-growth customers
- 07Strong leadership skills to influence, develop, and empower Managers and ICs
- 08Proven record of transformational impact and delivery of measurable customer value
- 09Track record of building strong ecosystems of customer relationships and cross-functional partnerships
- 10Experience supporting complex strategic accounts generating $5M+ ARR
- 11Deep interest in and understanding of data-driven decision making, AI, and cloud software models
- 12Demonstrated ability to implement scalable processes for technical field teams
- 13Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- 14Fluent Japanese required
- 15Business-level English strongly preferred
