Responsibilities

01Own single-threaded leadership (STL) for the transaction rail, driving alignment, prioritisation, and execution across all teams involved in the payment lifecycle
02Think end-to-end across the value chain, understanding and optimizing handoffs between domains
03Drive agentic strategy by defining the platform features for low-to-no coding client onboarding
04Protect the stability floor by enforcing a Stop the Line mentality for quality and maintaining automated quality assurance
05Provide cross-functional leadership to pods staffed with engineers across the five domains
06Embed a You Build It, You Run It (YBIYRI) culture across all domains
07Prioritize with evidence using the RICE framework to create an executable roadmap

01Deep technical foundation: Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, APIs, event-driven platforms, and modern software engineering practices
02Platform-as-a-Product experience: Proven experience building foundational platform capabilities or complex distributed systems spanning multiple interdependent domains
03Execution mastery: Track record of driving delivery velocity across a wide surface area, unblocking engineering teams, managing dependencies across many domains, and optimizing DORA metrics
04The Maker mindset: Preference for clean, modular architecture and systems thinking
