Responsibilities
- 01Lead a team of engineers building infrastructure for training, testing, and evaluating models
- 02Set technical direction for how we train and evaluate models at scale
- 03Debug alongside your team and stay close to the code
- 04Work daily with researchers to turn tradeoffs in latency, quality, and cost into infrastructure
- 05Build rollout infrastructure for RL experiments at scale
- 06Design eval pipelines that catch regressions before they ship
- 07Own the environments in which models are trained and tested
- 08Bring rigor to how the team measures quality and progress
- 09Partner with research to translate model-level tradeoffs into infrastructure decisions
- 10Hire and grow the team through sourcing, interviewing, and development
Requirements
- 01Led engineering teams building infrastructure for training, evaluating, or serving ML models in production
- 02Strong infrastructure and distributed systems fundamentals
- 03Comfortable writing code, reviewing PRs with depth, and using tools like Cursor
- 04Comfortable operating in ambiguity and making sound decisions with incomplete information
- 05Track record of hiring and developing engineers
- 06Ability to talk fluently with researchers about model behavior and with engineers about systems design
