01Own the developer platform roadmap
02Lead a team of platform engineers building CI/CD pipelines, build tooling, developer experience, and observability
03Stay close to the ground by dogfooding the platform, running developer interviews, and bringing product instincts to prioritization decisions
04Drive execution by engaging with hard problems, reviewing technical designs, and helping the team find solutions
05Contribute to company-wide planning, cross-team decisions, and the long-term strategy of the platform, security, and infrastructure organization
06Help build the Amsterdam engineering culture: hiring, onboarding, team rituals, and work environment

017+ years of software engineering experience, with significant time building developer platforms, internal tooling, or infrastructure that other engineers depend on
023+ years as an engineering manager, including experience owning a technical roadmap with high autonomy
03Deep technical expertise in modern developer platform work: CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions preferred), container orchestration (Kubernetes preferred), build tooling across multiple languages, API gateway and service communication patterns (GraphQL, gRPC), IAM, and observability
04Strong product instincts applied to internal users — a track record of identifying the right problems to solve
05Experience managing in a distributed, multinational engineering organization
06Excellent communication skills: ability to write a clear strategy doc, run a productive design review, and represent the team's work credibly to senior leadership and cross-functional partners
