- 01Industrial design, architecture, and design leadership
- 02Guiding the architecture of multiple products after leading a thorough industrial design study
- 03Crawling around equipment and industrial facilities working directly with customers
- 04Running a collaborative process with Product Management, EE, FW, EPM, and Hardware leadership
- 05Mentoring other engineers
- 06Shipping successful products
- 07Researching the latest trends in products, fabrication techniques, vendors, and processes
- 08Evaluating system feature tradeoffs and creating system specifications
- 09Supporting the development process from industrial design studies and prototyping through field validation
- 10Supporting reliability testing and product field performance
- 11Championing Samsara's cultural principles
Требования
- 0110 years of experience shipping high-volume hardware programs at scale with ODM and JDM partners overseas
- 02Systems design expertise includes thermals, rugged enclosures, antennas, and batteries
- 03Proven record navigating tradeoffs between design, manufacturability, schedule, and cost
- 04Worked on a wide variety of systems for different use cases and environments including automotive, indoor, and outdoor industrial areas
- 05BS or MS degree in mechanical engineering
- 06Ability to travel up to 20% when necessary
