- 01Independently scope complex, multi-month projects through ambiguous problem spaces and lead peers through technical and product decisions.
- 02Drive alignment with product, peer engineering teams, and research to identify capability gaps and translate frontier model improvements into shipped products.
- 03Make architectural decisions affecting the reliability and scalability of systems serving hundreds of thousands of global users.
- 04Design processes to help the team operate effectively and avoid repeat failures.
- 05Stay hands-on with code and models.
- 06Build and scale the foundation of the Claude API (API Core) – ensuring performance, reliability, and efficiency of the core serving path.
- 07Bring frontier model capabilities to developers via the Claude API (API Capabilities) – owning vision, tool use, computer use, launching new models.
- 08Transform Claude into a true knowledge worker (API Knowledge) – enabling secure data access, retrieval, and processing for developers.
- 09Build products and tools to improve developer experience (Developer Experience) – accelerating idea to deployment, prompt generation and evaluation.
- 10Build infrastructure and APIs for agentic applications (API Agents) – enabling tool use, multi-step reasoning, long-running task execution.
- 11Build foundational systems for enterprise readiness (Enterprise Foundations) – user and permissions management, security and compliance features, analytics infrastructure.
- 12Build the identity and verification product layer (Passport) – KYC/KYB, trust grant issuance, end-user verification across Anthropic surfaces.
- 13Build the platform connecting Claude-powered enterprise tools via partnerships (Marketplace) – partner onboarding, storefronts, transaction and entitlement flows at scale.
Требования
- 018+ years of relevant experience as a backend or product engineer.
- 02Track record of leading complex, multi-month projects or teams as a tech lead or equivalent.
- 03Strong coding fundamentals; comfortable working across backend systems, APIs, and integrations; able to reach into frontend when needed.
- 04Experience leading design and delivery of large-scale backend systems in production powering high-adoption B2B or consumer-facing products.
