• 01Lead initiatives within Elasticsearch to produce an industry-leading search engine offering
• 02Contribute to Elasticsearch full time, building new search features and fixing bugs
• 03Invent new algorithms or data structures
• 04Work close to the operating system and hardware
• 05Work with a globally distributed team on vector search capabilities
• 06Be an expert on Elasticsearch search relevance and drive improvements
• 07Work with community members on issues and pull requests
• 08Write idiomatic modern Java

Требования

• 01Professional experience with search and vector databases
• 02Experience with HNSW, IVF or other relevant algorithms and libraries at scale
• 03Solid skills in core Java and standard library of data structures and concurrency constructs
• 04Ability to work with high level of autonomy and guide projects from beginning to end
• 05Comfortable developing collaboratively and giving/receiving feedback
• 06Experience with multiple data storage technologies like Elasticsearch, Solr, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra
• 07Proven track record of using AI to accelerate development, debug systems, and optimize code
• 08Ability to collaborate across functions and teams
• 09Work autonomously and drive decisions in distributed teams
