• 01Lead initiatives within Elasticsearch to produce an industry-leading search engine offering
• 02Contribute to Elasticsearch full time, building new search features and fixing bugs
• 03Invent new algorithms or data structures or find and implement existing ones
• 04Work with a globally distributed team on the vector search capabilities of Elasticsearch
• 05Be an expert on Elasticsearch search relevance and drive improvements in this area
• 06Work with community members from all over the world on issues and pull requests
• 07Write idiomatic modern Java

Требования

• 01Professional experience with search and vector databases
• 02Experience using HNSW, IVF, or other relevant algorithms and libraries on search platforms at scale
• 03Solid skills in core Java and conversant in the standard library of data structures and concurrency constructs
• 04Ability to work with a high level of autonomy and take on projects from beginning to end
• 05Comfortable developing collaboratively, giving and receiving feedback on code and approaches
• 06Experience using several data storage technologies like Elasticsearch, Solr, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra
• 07Proven track record of using AI to accelerate development, debug complex systems, and optimize code
• 08Ability to collaborate across functions and teams and transition between projects based on business priorities
• 09Work autonomously and drive decisions in a distributed team using asynchronous communication

• 02Typical starting salary range: €73,300 – €115,900 EUR
