Senior Manager, Enterprise Data Governance

Обязанности
- 01Drive Governance Program Operations: Own and scale the Data Domain Model, ensuring domain ownership is clear and newly established domains are seamlessly onboarded
- 02Support the launch and operation of the Data Governance Council to turn strategy into action
- 03Operationalize Data Policies & Compliance: Champion the development and execution of enterprise data policies (security, retention, access)
- 04Monitor cross-domain compliance, coordinate remediation with domain owners, and maintain evidence packages for SOC 2, GDPR/CCPA, and internal audits
- 05Master Metadata & Business Glossary Operations: Own the day-to-day operations of Toast's Business Glossary
- 06Facilitate term definition workshops, resolve domain conflicts, and partner with technical teams to ensure metadata standards are integrated directly into data products
- 07Enable Data Literacy & Adoption: Drive widespread adoption of our data catalog and governance tools across business and technical teams through office hours, training programs, and clear documentation
- 08Measure & Advance Data Maturity: Lead regular data governance maturity assessments across business units, converting findings into actionable improvement roadmaps
- 09Track and report key metrics via governance dashboards to highlight program ROI
Требования
- 015+ years of hands-on experience in data governance, data management, or enterprise analytics within a high-growth, modern tech environment (B2B SaaS experience is a plus)
- 02Proven experience building or scaling enterprise data governance programs from design through company-wide adoption
- 03Demonstrated experience partnering with cross-functional leadership across Product, Engineering, Legal, Security, and Analytics
- 04Modern Data Stack Fluency: Comfortable navigating environments powered by Snowflake, dbt, and modern Cloud Data Warehouses
- 05Data Governance & Metadata Tooling: Hands-on experience with modern data catalog/metadata platforms (e.g., DataHub, Alation, Atlan)
- 06SQL Proficiency: Able to write SQL queries to inspect data, run quality analysis, and build governance tracking reports
- 07Framework Knowledge: Deep understanding of frameworks like DAMA-DMBOK, as well as data quality and observability concepts (e.g., Monte Carlo, Great Expectations)
- 08Master Facilitator: Exceptional ability to lead working sessions, drive consensus, and align disparate business and engineering teams around unified data standards
- 09Clear Communicator: Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to translate complex technical/data concepts into executive summaries and operational docs
- 10Bias for Action: A proactive self-starter who thrives in fast-moving, ambiguous environments and takes pride in operational excellence

- 01Base salary range: Zone A $190,000 — $304,000 USD
- 02Base salary range: Zone B $165,000 — $264,000 USD
- 03Base salary range: Zone C $149,000 — $238,000 USD
