Responsibilities
- 01Design scalable control planes and data primitives for all Verkada products
- 02Build scalable distributed systems capable of handling high traffic from hundreds of thousands of devices deployed around the world
- 03Spin up new services in a microservices architecture
Requirements
- 01Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering
- 024+ years of relevant industry experience
- 03Experience in building and scaling access systems to millions of users around the world
- 04Strong written and verbal communication skills
- 05Mastery of at least one of Python or Go
- 06Experience with relational databases (Postgres, MySQL)
- 07Experience with key-value storage systems (Redis, Memcached)
- 08Experience with distributed queueing (Kafka) and caching (Redis, Memcached)
- 09Experience with cloud service providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- 10Experience with React
- 11Experience with GRPC and API specifications
- 12Must be willing and able to work onsite five days per week
