Responsibilities
- 01Support daily/weekly team meetings by participating in ways to help the team improve
- 02Oversee daily shift backlogs and inventory-related queues
- 03Maintain continual oversight of incoming receipts, RMA backlogs, and outgoing material requests to ensure compliance with metric targets
- 04Re-assign daily shift resources to meet demands and prioritize critical data center hardware, spare parts, and infrastructure materials
- 05Provide input to employees’ performance
- 06Function as focal point for area group production coordinators, Site Operations, and priorities related to inventory and material flow
- 07Participate in adding to the area’s to-do lists for improvement projects
- 08Fulfill resource gaps when shifts are short-handed
- 09Mentor employees to meet supervisor expectations for the job
- 10Train continuously to improve the workers’ skills in inventory accuracy, material handling, and system processes
- 11Monitor department consumables, spare parts, and critical inventory levels; drive reordering and replenishment
- 12Monitor the general inventory/fulfillment email inbox and resolve issues promptly
- 13Receive, inspect, store, and issue servers, networking gear, power/cooling components, parts, details, and hardware as required to support data center construction, expansion, and operations
- 14Store parts and materials in bins, drawers, racks, and designated locations; accurately identify part numbers and storage locations
- 15Perform picking functions to make up necessary kits of parts, material, and hardware; ascertain that all items are available and accounted for in kit
- 16Maintain strict material handling practices in accordance with procedures, especially for high-value and sensitive equipment
- 17Monitor shelf-life storage and maintain proper rotation of stock (FIFO)
- 18Maintain accurate environmental and temperature requirements for any temperature-sensitive materials
- 19Interface with other fulfillment centers, other sites, Shipping, Receiving, Planning, Quality Control, Purchasing, Procurement, and related departments to resolve problems relative to receipt and distribution of material
- 20Maintain good housekeeping and organization of warehouse and staging areas for efficiency (5S principles)
- 21Support the organization’s metric goals and objectives for inventory accuracy, cycle count compliance, and material availability
- 22Conduct and oversee regular inventory audits, cycle counts, and reconciliations
- 23Manage Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) processes, including inspection, documentation, and coordination with vendors
Requirements
- 01High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 022+ years of experience in a warehouse environment
- 032+ years of experience working in materials management or inventory control
- 04Experience with data entry and inventory tracking systems
- 05Ability to lift 25–50 lbs. unassisted
- 06Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position
- 07Willingness to work flexible shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed to support data center operations and build schedules
- 08Must be able to work in a warehouse and data center environment
