Responsibilities
- 01Design, develop and maintain Connectors in Open Source Trino, the Starburst Enterprise Platform, or Starburst Galaxy
- 02Find ingenious ways to speed up complex queries without sacrificing correctness of the results
- 03Collaborate with your team members and other teams globally and operate in a fast paced environment
- 04Provide exceptional customer support for both internal and external customers
Requirements
- 01Prior experience developing distributed systems
- 02Extensive software development experience with Java
- 03Demonstrated experience with software engineering and design best practices
- 04Appreciation for creating maintainable, performant, and high quality software
- 05Intrinsic motivation for improving your software engineering craftsmanship
- 06Significant autonomy and ownership
- 07Curiosity to see what other engineering teams are doing and ability to connect the dots
- 08Demonstration of Ownership, Grit, and Bias for Action
- 09Ability to Travel: This role will require 25% in-person travel
What we offer

- 02Pay Range $185,000 — $215,000 USD
