Engineering Manager - Trading

01Lead the full management cycle for engineers in House of Trading: hiring, onboarding, performance, and development
02Coach engineers at all levels and build a team that values diverse perspectives and ways of thinking
03Partner with Trading leads and engineers to keep priorities clear and the team moving
04Balance short-term delivery with long-term sustainability
05Represent the team in cross-functional forums
06Keep a clear picture of the technical health of the area: architecture, quality, and risk
07Work with the Staff Engineer to set technical direction and connect it to business outcomes
08Ensure the stability of the trading platform and prioritize reliability over new features when needed
09Lead the agentic transition by shifting engineers' focus from writing code to directing, reviewing, and owning the output of agents
10Build team practices for quality, oversight, and good engineering judgment in an agentic world

01Experience leading people with a track record of developing engineers through career growth
02Ability to provide honest feedback and build teams where people feel safe to take risks and speak up
03Energy market domain fluency with a deep understanding of how software interacts with volatile markets and physical constraints
04Technical fluency with a strong engineering background and understanding of architecture, quality, and trade-offs
05Curiosity about agentic engineering and a point of view on human oversight and engineering judgment in that context
06Strong stakeholder communication skills with the ability to adapt language and message based on the audience
07A growth mindset with the ability to treat setbacks as information rather than failure
