- 017+ years in editing, writing, or editorial leadership

- 05High competence throughout the editorial stack: developmental editing, copy editing, content planning, and managing production
- 06Demonstrated track record of mentoring writers and improving team output quality
- 07Exceptional ability to learn
- 08Refined judgment on all matters of structure, argument, and voice
- 09Proven eye for narrative in messy, ambiguous, or highly technical material
- 10Deep familiarity with the rules of grammar, style, and storytelling
- 11Clear perspective on which rules to break and when
- 12Comfort using AI tools
- 13Ability to articulate where and how to incorporate AI tools into workflows
