Senior Electrical Engineer, Power Systems

Обязанности

  • 01Lead front-end engineering for capital projects, including the layout and sizing of power systems
  • 02Review one-lines, wiring diagrams, schematics, electrical studies, and control narratives to ensure they meet company design specifications
  • 03Review vendor drawings, check wiring diagrams against schematics, and ensure all design deliverables from consultants meet project specifications
  • 04Provide technical guidance during the construction and commissioning of power plant assets
  • 05Support and provide input to field teams and third-party consultants on complex electrical issues
  • 06Partner with Field Operations to troubleshoot electrical failures, perform root-cause analysis, and optimize existing power infrastructure for maximum uptime
  • 07Specify and integrate high and medium voltage equipment such as 34.5 kV GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear) indoor units, GSU (Generator Step-Up) Transformers, and MV/LV Switchgear and MCCs (Motor Control Centers)
  • 08Utilize working knowledge of Governor and AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulator) controls
  • 09Implement the IEC 61850 standard, including GOOSE & MMS protocols
  • 10Conduct Protection & Control coordination studies and fault analysis

  • 01Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
  • 02Minimum of 6+ years in industrial electrical engineering
  • 03Expert working knowledge of NEC application to industrial installations
  • 04Ability to work effectively with both engineers and operations personnel
  • 05Ability to travel approximately 20% to project sites
  • 06Comprehensive understanding of generator physics and operations
  • 07Proficiency in Protection & Control coordination studies and fault analysis
  • 08Knowledge of the IEC 61850 standard
