Internal Audit Lead - Treasury, Finance & Operations

01Develop and provide input into a risk-based internal audit strategy that ensures comprehensive, end-to-end audit coverage
02Oversee evaluation and testing of governance, risk management, internal controls, compliance, financial reporting, and operational processes
03Produce objective and timely assessments and reports for the Board, Audit Committee, and senior leadership
04Engage with partners and regulators; prepare and present audit evidence and findings
05Communicate complex risks and impacts to senior stakeholders, including regulators such as FCA and CBI
06Collaborate with stakeholder teams to translate audit findings into durable remediation plans
07Invest in understanding the business to identify areas of need and advisory opportunities
08Research and stay current on applicable regulatory requirements and emerging trends

018+ years of experience in internal auditing, risk management, or compliance, preferably within banking or financial services
02Experience auditing treasury operations, liquidity risk frameworks, stress testing, and custody controls
03Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field
04Professional certification such as CIA, CPA, CAMS, CRCM or equivalent (or active pursuit)
05Strong analytical skills with experience using data analytics and continuous monitoring tools
06Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting complex issues to senior stakeholders
07Proven ability to lead cross‑functional remediation efforts and track corrective actions
08High degree of integrity, independence and professional skepticism
09Expertise in auditing financial controls and operations with working knowledge of regulatory compliance
10Preferred: Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, MBA or related advanced degree
11Preferred: Prior experience in a regulated financial institution with complex partner networks
12Preferred: Experience with audit management software, automation platforms and advanced data analytics
