Обязанности
- 01Set technical strategy for the team on a year-long time scale and help tie it together with critical, business-impacting projects
- 02Collaborate across teams in the product development lifecycle with product management, design & analytics to ensure technical sustainability, risks and trade-offs are well understood and managed
- 03Act as a force-multiplier for the team through definition and advocacy of technical solutions and operational processes
- 04Take ownership of team operations and availability by ensuring proper monitoring, triage rotations, playbooks, policies, testing and alerting for 'keep the lights on' & on-call efforts
- 05Foster a culture of quality and ownership by setting code review and design standards for the team and advocating for them beyond the team through writing and tech talks
- 06Help develop talent on the team by providing feedback and guidance, and leading by example
Требования
- 018+ years of experience designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale using languages like Python or Kotlin
- 02Extensive track record of developing highly available distributed systems using technologies like AWS, MySQL, Spark and Kubernetes
- 03Analytical and discerning in designing services with clear API boundaries, strong reliability characteristics, and thoughtful handling of consistency, idempotency, and failure modes — ideally in a payments, commerce, ledger, or other financially-sensitive domain
- 04Experience delivering major features, system components or deprecating existing functionality through definition of a technical and execution plan
- 05Ability to write high quality code that is easily understood and used by others
- 06Thrive in ambiguity and comfortable moving from low level language idioms to architecture of large systems
- 07Growth and impact trajectory demonstrating mastery of gathering and iterating on feedback from engineering and cross-functional peers
- 08Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with global engineering team
- 09Equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field
