• 01Lead end-to-end product design for Modern Compute, initially focused on Autoscaling product
• 02Help define product direction from early framing and exploration through detailed design and delivery
• 03Design clear, trustworthy experiences for engineers making high-stakes infrastructure decisions
• 04Simplify complex technical concepts without removing detail and control for expert users
• 05Work closely with product and engineering leaders to identify problems and connect work across teams
• 06Set a high bar for interaction and visual design for complex, data-heavy workflows
• 07Create reusable patterns to improve consistency across Modern Compute and broader Datadog product
• 08Mentor other designers through critique, feedback, and partnership
• 09Design and build realistic prototypes in code using coding agents

Требования

• 0110+ years of experience designing complex web-based products
• 02Experience operating at a Staff level or in a role with comparable scope
• 03Exceptional interaction and visual design craft, particularly in dense, technical, or data-heavy experiences
• 04Experience leading ambiguous product work where direction was not predefined
• 05Ability to simplify complex systems for expert users
• 06Comfort working closely with product managers and engineers throughout development
• 07Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and build confidence across teams and leadership
• 08Ability to think beyond individual features and create systems or patterns across products and teams
• 09Ability to balance long-term direction with hands-on execution and detail
• 10Active mentorship of other designers to improve work quality
• 11Ability to design and build code-based prototypes using AI and coding agents, or quickly develop that capability
