Обязанности
- 01Set technical strategy for the team on a year-long time scale and tie it to business-impacting projects
- 02Collaborate across teams (product management, design, analytics) in the product development lifecycle to ensure technical sustainability and manage risks
- 03Act as a force-multiplier by defining and advocating technical solutions and operational processes
- 04Own the team’s operations and availability, ensuring proper monitoring, triage rotations, playbooks, policies, testing, and alerting
- 05Foster a culture of quality and ownership by setting code review and design standards and advocating for them
- 06Help develop talent on the team by providing feedback, guidance, and leading by example
Требования
- 018+ years of experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale using languages like Python or Kotlin
- 02Extensive track record of developing highly available distributed systems using technologies like AWS, MySQL, Spark, and Kubernetes
- 03Experience developing consumer experiences using UI frameworks like React
- 042+ years of experience working in search or related recommendation engines
- 05Experience delivering major features, system components, or deprecating functionality through technical and execution plans
- 06Ability to write high-quality, easily understood code
- 07Thrive in ambiguity and comfortable moving from low-level language idioms to large system architecture
- 08Demonstrated growth and impact trajectory, mastering feedback iteration from peers
- 09Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with a global team
- 10Equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field

- 01Base Pay Grade - P, Equity Grade - 13
- 02USA Pacific base pay range (CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT): $230,000 - $290,000
- 03USA Sapphire base pay range (all other U.S. states): $204,000 - $264,000
- 04Remote-first company; majority of roles are remote, work almost anywhere within the country of employment
- 05Proximal roles may occasionally be required to work out of an assigned office
