Responsibilities

  • 01Lead the Material Planning Team – Hire, mentor, coach, and develop a team of Material Planners while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • 02Own Material Planning Strategy – Develop and execute material planning processes that ensure production has the right materials available at the right time while optimizing inventory levels and minimizing shortages
  • 03Manage Inventory Health – Lead a Clear To Build forum, monitor inventory performance, safety stock, reorder points, excess inventory, and obsolete materials to balance supply continuity with inventory investment
  • 04Own Supply Readiness – Partner with suppliers, Procurement and Strategic Sourcing teams to proactively identify supplier constraints, mitigate supply risks, and develop recovery plans for critical materials
  • 05Collaborate Across Functions – Work closely with Production Planning, Manufacturing, Engineering, Logistics, Quality, and Program Management to align material availability with production schedules and business priorities
  • 06Support New Product Introductions (NPI) – Coordinate material readiness for new product launches by partnering with Engineering, Sourcing, and Suppliers to ensure timely procurement and inventory availability
  • 07Leverage ERP & Planning Systems – Utilize ERP/MRP systems to manage material requirements, purchase recommendations, inventory planning, and supply planning while identifying opportunities to improve system accuracy and efficiency
  • 08Monitor Supply Chain Performance – Track key performance indicators including material availability, inventory turns, supplier delivery performance, inventory accuracy, shortages, and material planning effectiveness while driving corrective actions
  • 09Drive Continuous Improvement – Develop scalable planning processes, reporting, and standard work that improve operational efficiency and support Crusoe's rapidly growing manufacturing footprint

Requirements

  • 01Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
  • 028+ years of experience in material planning, supply planning, inventory management, production planning, or supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment
  • 033+ years of direct people management experience leading material planning, inventory planning, or supply chain teams
  • 04Experience managing Material Requirements Planning (MRP), inventory planning, supply planning, and replenishment strategies within a complex manufacturing environment
  • 05Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or similar enterprise planning platforms
  • 06Strong analytical skills with experience using Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools (such as Power BI or Tableau) to analyze inventory performance and support data-driven decision-making
  • 07Demonstrated ability to manage supplier-related risks, balance competing business priorities, and collaborate effectively across Procurement, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Operations
  • 08Experience applying Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, or operational excellence principles to improve inventory performance, material flow, and planning accuracy
