Responsibilities
- 01Lead the Production Planning Team – Hire, mentor, coach, and develop a team of Production Planners while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- 02Drive S&OP across organizational functions – Partner with Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Program Management to ensure production plans support business priorities and customer commitments.
- 03Own Master Production Schedule (MPS) – Develop and maintain production schedules that balance customer demand, manufacturing capacity, labor availability, and material readiness.
- 04Optimize Manufacturing Operations – Monitor production performance, identify bottlenecks, and adjust schedules to maximize throughput, improve schedule attainment, and minimize disruptions.
- 05Manage Capacity Planning – Evaluate manufacturing capacity, labor constraints, and production resources to support both short-term execution and long-term growth.
- 06Improve Planning Processes – Develop scalable planning processes, reporting, and standard work that increase efficiency and support Crusoe's rapidly expanding manufacturing footprint.
- 07Monitor Operational Performance – Track key performance indicators including schedule attainment, on-time delivery, inventory health, production throughput, and planning accuracy while driving corrective actions when needed.
- 08Support New Product Introductions (NPI) – Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to successfully transition new products into production while minimizing operational risk.
- 09Leverage ERP & Planning Systems – Utilize ERP/MRP systems to manage production planning, inventory, work orders, and manufacturing schedules while identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement.
Requirements
- 01Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- 028+ years of experience in production planning, manufacturing planning, supply chain, or operations within a manufacturing environment.
- 033+ years of direct people management experience leading production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations teams.
- 04Experience managing Master Production Scheduling (MPS), Material Requirements Planning (MRP), and capacity planning within a complex manufacturing environment.
- 05Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or similar manufacturing planning platforms.
- 06Strong analytical skills with experience using Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools (such as Power BI or Tableau) to drive operational decision-making.
- 07Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, prioritize competing business needs, and communicate effectively with both frontline teams and executive leadership.
- 08Experience applying Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, or operational excellence principles to improve planning accuracy, production efficiency, and delivery performance.
