Responsibilities
- 01Take ownership of technically complex, mission-critical areas
- 02Define and drive technical strategy for new products and platform capabilities
- 03Design and ship full-stack features end to end
- 04Partner with product, design, and customer-facing teams to translate ambiguous, real-world problems into clear technical plans
- 05Build and scale the systems behind AI-driven products, including data ingestion, APIs, and workflows
- 06Raise the bar for engineers through code reviews, design reviews, technical mentorship
- 07Champion and role model Samsara’s cultural principles
Requirements
- 01Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- 028+ years of experience in software design and development
- 03Experience building and operating production systems at scale
- 04Strong full-stack fundamentals
- 05Comfortable working across backend services, APIs, and frontend (web or mobile) to ship complete products
- 06Proficiency in modern languages
