Responsibilities
- 01Identify and lead critical efforts related to scalability, reliability and efficiency
- 02Influence the features and direction of our platform with your own ideas
- 03Provide technical support for engineers on team
- 04Align with product and org objectives, and coordinate with cross-functional teams on delivering key results
- 05Architect, design and develop projects for reliable and cost efficient infrastructure scaling to millions of connected devices
- 06Roll out service mesh and design cost efficient services for ingesting and storing terabytes of video footage
- 07Lead cross-team efforts and mentor team members
- 08Establish engineering best practices across the entire organization
Requirements
- 01Must have a BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, or similar technical field of study
- 02Experience and enthusiasm for learning about new infrastructure products, features, and strategies
- 03Comfortable with working at the frontier of infrastructure and software development
- 04Experience in Python and/or Go
- 05Experience with one of the major cloud platforms (preferably AWS)
- 06Strong written and verbal communications
- 07Experience with Terraform is preferred
- 08Experience with Kubernetes is preferred
- 09Experience with a service mesh such as Istio is preferred
