Responsibilities
- 01Responsible for MEP Infrastructure site safety and environmental compliance
- 02Provide operational expertise for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems
- 03Routinely inspect all areas to ensure performance measures are being maintained
- 04Experience with writing and executing MOPs, SOPs, EOPs
- 05Perform daily inspections of critical systems
- 06Identify and maintain spare parts inventory to minimize downtime
- 07Coordinate and supervise scheduled system shutdowns
- 08Develop and implement energy monitoring metrics
- 09Support commissioning efforts by witnessing equipment startup, assisting with functional testing, and monitoring construction progress
Requirements
- 01Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical or 2+ years of hands-on operations/facilities work experience in lieu of degree (data center experience preferred)
- 02Knowledge of mechanical or electrical engineering principles and systems
- 03Experience and knowledge of all critical systems documentation including Plans, Procedures, and Operations Manuals
- 04Experience and knowledge of Building and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems and Operations
- 05Strong troubleshooting skills
- 06Experience with PLC-based control systems and/or with Building Management Systems
- 07Excellent written and verbal communication and technical writing skills in English
- 08Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- 09Ability to utilize hand tools and power tools as needed
- 10Work is often performed in tight quarters, and physical dexterity is necessary to perform job functions
- 11Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. unassisted
- 12Comfortable working at elevated heights (up to 100 feet) with appropriate safety gear
- 13Comfortable working in extreme outdoor environments—heat, cold, rain, etc
- 14Comfortable working in an environment requiring exposure to fumes, odors, and noise
- 15Available to work flexible shifts providing 24x7 coverage as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- 16Position is subject to pre-employment drug and random drug and alcohol testing
- 17Position is subject to pre-employment and annual post-employment background checks
- 18Willing to travel as needed (up to 10%)
- 19Valid driver’s license
