Engineering Manager, Developer Platform

- 01Lead and grow a team of engineers responsible for FGA SDKs, the SDK generator, CLI workflows, IDE integrations, and developer automation.
- 02Drive execution of the Developer Tooling roadmap in partnership with Product and FGA Core.
- 03Oversee the evolution of the SDK generator and template framework.
- 04Ensure consistent and high quality implementation of SDK features including authentication flows, error handling, retry logic, rate limiting, and advanced capabilities.
- 05Establish and maintain strong engineering standards for testing, CI workflows, dependency management, release processes, and developer documentation.
- 06Foster a strong open source culture by ensuring community pull requests are reviewed promptly.
- 07Partner closely with FGA Core on API design and semantics.
- 08Support career growth and development through regular 1:1s, coaching, feedback, and performance management.
- 09Recruit and hire strong engineers to build and scale the Developer Tooling team in India.
- 10Maintain a team culture of ownership, transparency, rigor, and psychological safety in a distributed environment.
Требования
- 017+ years of software engineering experience.
- 02Prior experience as an Engineering Manager or Technical Lead.
- 03Strong understanding of SDK design, API ergonomics, authentication flows, and resilient distributed systems.
- 04Experience with CI CD systems such as GitHub Actions and modern build workflows.
- 05Familiarity with code generation frameworks such as OpenAPI Generator and templating systems.
- 06Experience working in open source development models and PR based workflows.
- 07Experience managing geographically distributed teams.
- 08Experience managing software engineering teams delivering SDKs, platforms, or developer tooling.
- 09Have a strong technical background.
- 10Experience working in or contributing to open source projects.
- 11Are skilled at coaching engineers across different career stages.
- 12Are comfortable operating with ambiguity and helping create clarity across teams.
- 13Thrive in collaborative environments that require strong cross functional alignment.
- 14Are a strong communicator who can work effectively with technical and non technical stakeholders.
