Engineering Manager, Auth0 FGA Developer Platform

- 01Lead and grow a team of engineers responsible for FGA SDKs, the SDK generator, CLI workflows, IDE integrations, and developer automation
- 02Drive execution of the Developer Tooling roadmap in partnership with Product and FGA Core, ensuring alignment across OSS and SaaS surfaces and delivering meaningful improvements to developers on a frequent and predictable cadence
- 03Oversee the evolution of the SDK generator and template framework to maintain cross language consistency, configurability, and long term maintainability
- 04Ensure consistent and high quality implementation of SDK features including authentication flows, error handling, retry logic, rate limiting, and advanced capabilities such as BatchCheck and ListRelations
- 05Establish and maintain strong engineering standards for testing, CI workflows, dependency management, release processes, and developer documentation
- 06Foster a strong open source culture by ensuring community pull requests are reviewed promptly and contributors are supported in reaching a mergeable state
- 07Partner closely with FGA Core on API design and semantics to ensure a clean and developer friendly experience across all tooling
- 08Support career growth and development through regular 1:1s, coaching, feedback, and performance management
- 09Recruit and hire strong engineers to build and scale the Developer Tooling team in India
- 10Maintain a team culture of ownership, transparency, rigor, and psychological safety in a distributed environment

- 01Have experience managing software engineering teams delivering SDKs, platforms, or developer tooling
- 02Have a strong technical background and are comfortable going deep into architecture and design discussions across multiple languages
- 03Have experience working in or contributing to open source projects
- 04Have experience managing geographically distributed teams
- 05Are skilled at coaching engineers across different career stages
- 06Are comfortable operating with ambiguity and helping create clarity across teams
- 07Thrive in collaborative environments that require strong cross functional alignment
- 08Are a strong communicator who can work effectively with technical and non technical stakeholders
- 097+ years of software engineering experience with prior experience as an Engineering Manager or Technical Lead
- 10Strong understanding of SDK design, API ergonomics, authentication flows, and resilient distributed systems
- 11Experience with CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions and modern build workflows
- 12Familiarity with code generation frameworks such as OpenAPI Generator and templating systems
- 13Experience working in open source development models and PR based workflows
- 14Passion for authorization, identity, and developer experience
