Sr. Solutions Architect - Public Sector (SLED)

01Lead the growth of the Databricks Unified Analytics Platform as a customer-facing Solutions Architect
02Exercise and develop expertise in cloud platforms, data engineering, data analytics, and data science/ML
03Work with customers, teammates, product team, and post-sales teams to identify use cases for Databricks
04Develop architectures and solutions using the Databricks platform
05Guide customers through implementation to achieve business value
06Build relationships with customers, identify and engage champions, and act as a trusted advisor
07Partner with the sales team to help customers understand how Databricks solves business problems
08Provide technical leadership for customers to evaluate and adopt Databricks
09Consult on big data architecture and implement proof of concepts for strategic customer projects
10Work on data science and machine learning projects
11Validate integrations with cloud services and third-party applications
12Build and present reference architectures, how-tos, and demo applications for customers
13Promote Databricks-inspired open-source projects (Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, Koalas) through meetups, conferences, and webinars
14Travel to customers in your region

018+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, or consulting role
02Experience designing and architecting distributed data systems
03Comfortable programming in and debugging at least one of: Python, Scala, Java, SQL, or R
04Experience supporting Public Sector clients
05Experience building solutions with public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
06Knowledge of data engineering technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka)
07Knowledge of data warehousing (e.g., SQL, OLTP/OLAP/DSS)
08Desired: Degree in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research)
