Vice President, Finance Strategy & Operations

- 01Serve as the CFO's key partner on GitLab's most strategically significant cross-functional initiatives
- 02Co-lead program architecture, executive alignment, and delivery accountability as the CFO’s day-to-day representative
- 03Partner with the CRO and CIO organizations to redesign and streamline the end-to-end revenue cycle
- 04Identify friction points across quoting, contracting, and order management, and drive technology and process solutions
- 05Own the Finance and operational workstreams supporting GitLab's shift from seat-based to consumption-based pricing
- 06Partner across Product, Sales, Finance, and Legal to build the systems, processes, controls, and reporting infrastructure required for a consumption model
- 07Drive the operating model design and stand-up of infrastructure for GitLab's international growth
- 08Develop and execute a comprehensive Finance transformation strategy aligned with GitLab's growth objectives
- 09Partner with the CFO and Finance Leadership team to define the multi-year roadmap for process optimization, technology enablement, and organizational evolution
- 10Lead redesign of core finance processes to drive efficiency, accuracy, and scalability
- 11Implement automation across financial close, consolidation, reporting, and planning cycles
- 12Own the finance technology roadmap in partnership with the CIO organization
- 13Evaluate, select, and implement enterprise solutions for FP&A, reporting, consolidation, and analytics
- 14Ensure the successful integration of finance systems following M&A activity
- 15Champion AI and intelligent automation across the finance function and broader enterprise transformation programs
- 16Identify high-impact use cases for autonomous AI agents, intelligent process orchestration, and advanced analytics
- 17Establish frameworks for responsible AI adoption and measure productivity gains

- 01Experience architecting and leading strategic evolution of a Finance function
- 02Proven track record as a key driver of enterprise-wide business transformation in a scaling public company
- 03Ability to serve as Finance's primary partner on strategically significant cross-functional initiatives
- 04Experience working in close partnership with CRO, CPO, CIO, and executive leadership team
- 05Comfortable influencing Board-level strategy conversations and driving execution in a fully distributed, async-first environment
