Обязанности

  • 01Advise research and data teams on data sourcing, licensing, partnerships, and use
  • 02Help shape Anthropic's data acquisition and use strategy as laws and markets evolve
  • 03Coordinate regulatory readiness and model launches
  • 04Review model documentation and system cards
  • 05Respond to regulatory inquiries
  • 06Advise on legal questions for pre-release and internal models
  • 07Support the Responsible Scaling Policy as applied to biological and chemical risk
  • 08Counsel various research teams on research design, data collection and sharing, external collaborations, program launches, and publication review
  • 09Monitor global AI, privacy, copyright, and export-control developments
  • 10Translate legal developments into practical internal guidance and policy
  • 11Engage with academics, regulators, industry groups, and civil society to help develop norms and best practices

Требования

  • 01JD and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar (California or New York preferred)
  • 02Practical, creative problem-solving: ability to apply legal requirements to fast-changing, deeply technical work
  • 03Exceptional communication and analytical skills
  • 04Technical fluency
  • 05Ability to navigate ambiguous and uncharted legal territory
  • 06Familiarity and comfort advising on the EU AI Act, U.S. legislation and AI frameworks, GDPR/CCPA, and comparable regimes globally
  • 07Interest in thinking deeply about the impact of AI on society
  • 08Sound judgment about when to be flexible and when to hold a line
  • 09Comfort making high-stakes calls in unsettled areas and outside core expertise
  • 10Low-ego, collaborative approach
  • 11At least 8 years of legal experience advising technology companies on copyright, privacy, data, AI regulation, and related product and policy issues
  • 12Experience engaging directly with regulators or standards bodies
  • 13Working technical literacy: familiarity with how models are trained, evaluated, and deployed
  • 14Academic or publishing background, or experience with copyright, open-source, and data licensing
  • 15Experience with biosecurity, dual-use research, export controls, or safety frameworks
  • 16Experience advising on academic or industry research, including publications, external collaborations, data sharing, or human-subjects and consent questions

Условия

  • 01Work from San Francisco or New York office at least 3 days a week
  • 02May consider other locations for the right candidate
  • 03Annual compensation range: $265,000 - $335,000 USD
  • 04Minimum education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
  • 05Location-based hybrid policy: expected to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time
  • 06Visa sponsorship available for some roles
