- 01Lead initiatives within Elasticsearch to produce an industry-leading vector database offering
- 02Contribute to Elasticsearch full time, building new search features and fixing bugs
- 03Invent new algorithms or data structures
- 04Work with a globally distributed team of experienced engineers focused on vector search capabilities
- 05Be an expert on how Elasticsearch implements vector similarity
- 06Work with community members from all over the world on issues and pull requests
- 07Write idiomatic modern Java
Требования
- 01Implemented novel techniques in vector similarity on a search platform with large user base
- 02Professional experience with vector similarity and vector databases
- 03Experience with HNSW, IVF or other relevant algorithms and libraries
- 04Strong skills in core Java and conversant in standard library of data structures and concurrency constructs
- 05Work with high level of autonomy and guide projects from beginning to end
- 06Comfortable developing collaboratively and giving/receiving feedback
- 07Experience with data storage technologies like Elasticsearch, Solr, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra
- 08Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- 09Proven track record of using AI to accelerate development, debug complex systems, and optimize code
- 10Ability to collaborate across functions and teams
- 11Work autonomously and drive decisions in distributed team
