Responsibilities
- 01Own asset allocations. Independently manage participant level asset allocations during plan conversions, ensuring accurate parsing, validation, and allocation of transferred funds
- 02Reconcile with precision. Review trust reports and legacy provider data to reconcile asset balances prior to system upload, and validate fund mapping, participant elections, and allocation logic to support accurate account setup at go live
- 03Resolve discrepancies. Perform ad hoc reconciliation of cash movements and asset balances during and after conversion, and drive open items to resolution
- 04Establish loan records. Set up and configure participant loan records during conversion, ensuring accurate balances, repayment schedules, and payroll alignment prior to plan activation
- 05Protect data integrity. Ensure historical data supports downstream compliance testing and reporting requirements
- 06Catch issues early. Identify gaps or inconsistencies in source data, and partner proactively with client facing teams to resolve them before go live
- 07Eliminate downstream pain. Make sure all required data is collected, validated, and uploaded accurately before plan activation, so testing, compliance, and 5500 processing can run without rework
- 08Collaborate cross functionally. Partner closely with Client Success, Onboarding, Compliance, and Reconciliations to resolve discrepancies in trust reports, asset allocations, and participant level data
- 09Improve how we work. Contribute to automation initiatives and tooling enhancements that improve conversion accuracy and efficiency
Requirements
- 013+ years of experience in retirement plan administration, financial operations, or onboarding focused operational roles
- 02Strong understanding of contribution types (pre tax, Roth, employer), loan structures, and participant level retirement data
- 03Advanced proficiency in Excel, including lookup functions, pivot tables, data validation, and error analysis
- 04Ability to independently manage competing priorities in a high volume, deadline driven environment
- 05Adaptability to shift with changing priorities without losing focus on quality
- 06Quick product mastery to pick up new tools and platforms fast and can speak to them with confidence
- 07Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail and a systems thinking orientation
- 08401(k) experience supporting plan conversions, asset transitions, loans, or trust reconciliation preferred
- 09Clear-headed problem solving — you diagnose issues at both individual and systemic levels and implement solutions that stick
