Responsibilities

01Design and develop systems for network state management including network provisioning, configuration management, topology/routing state, and control plane APIs
02Contribute to engineering efforts to scale control plane systems reliably as Crusoe Cloud grows
03Mentor fellow engineers and help uphold high standards in design and implementation
04Partner with product to assess and recommend build vs. buy decisions for control plane software
05Partner with product, operations, and other engineering teams to build control plane systems
06Help design fault tolerant, distributed control plane systems for high availability and resilience
07Advocate for modern software development, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code practices
08Take ownership of initiatives from ideation through development and deployment

015+ years of professional software engineering experience building backend systems in production
02Proficiency in at least one modern backend language such as Go, Rust, C++, Java, or Python
03Solid understanding of distributed systems concepts: consensus, state reconciliation, fault tolerance, and high availability design
04Track record of designing and building scalable, reliable APIs or services used by multiple teams
05Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code tooling (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
06Strong communication skills and experience collaborating cross functionally with product, operations, and other engineering teams
07Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and contribute to technical direction
