Responsibilities

  • 01Team Leadership & Talent Development: Hire, coach, and evaluate the Category Manager team, implementing structured development projects to elevate capability across commodity areas
  • 02Cross-Category Risk Rollup: Maintain a consolidated, portfolio-wide risk register identifying top single-source exposures, lead-time bottlenecks, and supplier financial concerns across all categories
  • 03Process Standardization: Own and continuously improve core sourcing playbooks, including the RFI/RFQ/AVL qualification sequence, Kraljic category frameworks, and standardized supplier scorecards
  • 04Negotiation Governance: Establish deal sign-off thresholds, escalation paths, and redline standards, providing direct coaching to Category Managers on high-stakes, complex supplier contracts
  • 05Capacity & Resource Prioritization: Prioritize team bandwidth across spend categories to ensure sourcing efforts align with critical business demands and schedule constraints
