Responsibilities
- 01Deliver person-centered care within the client’s own home
- 02Maintain safety whilst making positive risk decisions
- 03Enrich life and promote independence
- 04Build trust and long-term relationships that make every day meaningful
- 05Provide personal care, including assistance with hoisting, showering, toileting, mobility, and medication support
- 06Support him to enjoy his interests, including sports, technology, creative storytelling, gardening, and accessing the local community
- 07Provide encouragement with exercise and support him to explore new opportunities and hobbies
Requirements
- 0112 months UK-based experience in a community setting
- 02Confidence in maintaining risk and using physical intervention where required
- 03Confidence in utilising PBS standards within services
- 04Strong personal values and ethical standards
- 05Dedication, commitment and stability
- 06A genuine desire to build lasting relationships and make a positive impact
- 07Excellent communication skills, a positive approach, and the ability to give time and reassurance when supporting decision-making and choices
- 08A good sense of humour and a person-centered approach
- 09Experience with medication administration is essential
- 10Must be able to complete short drop-in shifts at least a few times per week
