Responsibilities
- 01Review global incident notifications and determine the response strategy based on the threat severity and business impact
- 02Conduct proactive research to monitor threats and events globally for potential impact to Airbnb stakeholders
- 03Use internal tools to promptly inform both our internal and external communities as needed
- 04Draft and coordinate the delivery of preparedness and response messaging for both external and internal audiences
- 05Recognize the need to make critical business decisions that consider the tradeoffs and benefits of potential options
- 06Effectively coordinate disaster response with cross-functional teams
- 07Serve as point of contact for the GCM Disaster Response team’s responsibilities and actions
- 08Provide clear situation reports and critical updates to stakeholders
- 09Actively participate in product and process improvement efforts and collaborate with the operations manager to develop recommendations for improvements
- 10Other duties as requested or assigned
Requirements
- 013+ years of experience in global disaster response, threat monitoring and assessment, intelligence analysis, or a related field
- 02Experience monitoring, assessing, and responding to global threats, disasters, and crises
- 03Excellent written and verbal communication
- 04Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
- 05High level of dependability to meet schedule expectations and working in a fast-paced environment
- 06Availability to travel occasionally as required

- 02Role may require working company and national holidays as well as working occasional unexpected hours as needed
