Responsibilities
- 01Manage key engineering projects, and/or programs, or initiatives from initiation to closing
- 02Provide regular status updates on a variety of internal channels to all levels of the organization
- 03Define program charters, plans, and schedules
- 04Drive Program execution
- 05Drive Product representatives in providing timely direction and requirements
- 06Lead internal cross-functional teams in engineering and validation activities
- 07Ensure tight inter-team coordination and communication
- 08Digest, understand, and communicate complex, technical/engineering issues
- 09Identify and resolve conflicts or issues quickly, efficiently, and effectively
- 10Surface and mitigate risks or defects, and lead technical task forces to ensure proper risk responses or issue resolution
- 11Manage interdependencies across multiple engineering disciplines and stakeholders, including platform, SRE, & QA
- 12Develop creative solutions, remove obstacles, and redefine approaches to balance cost, quality, and delivery priorities
- 13Work closely with product management, data analytics, enablement & support
- 14Define and own specific program metrics and objectives
- 15Track and report on PMO KPIs
- 16Act as a role model for project management processes
- 17Surface feedback and enhancement to processes
- 18Align stakeholders and team members towards project management best practices
Requirements
- 012+ years of experience in a technical position (software engineer, QE, platform engineer, etc.)
- 026+ years of experience in technical project/program management
- 03Software project management experience is a strong plus
- 04Agile and waterfall project/program management experience
- 05Familiarity with project management tools like Jira, Trello
- 06Can lead large and complex initiatives with minimal oversight
- 07Can introduce structure and order in volatile conditions
- 08Can clarify vague goals and requirements
- 09AI LLMs and AI Agents usage proficiency
- 10In-depth knowledge of the technologies and methodologies used in program management
- 11Ability to work directly with senior leadership on programs, including leading R&D-wide (engineering, product, design, security) initiatives from start to finish
- 12You can facilitate discussions with engineering subject-matter experts on topics such as System Design, Data Architecture, Infrastructure Management (including cost management), and Quality in the context of engineering operations
- 13Ability to leverage AI to increase your own productivity and leverage it in the solutions you’re building
- 14Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact and collaborate with technical and non-technical groups at all levels
- 15A data-driven and action-oriented mindset with excellent planning, analytical, problem-solving, project/program management, organizational, and leadership skills
- 16Proficient in addressing technical issues and providing effective mitigation plans
- 17Can align team members to program goals and objectives
- 18Conveys a clear understanding of how own activities relate to critical business drivers
- 19Discourages “us vs them” thinking in self and others
- 20Stays calm and professional even when situations are ambiguous or stressful
