Responsibilities

01Design, build, and maintain production services and infrastructure supporting key management, encryption, and decryption functions
02Help architect, launch, and scale Robinhood’s new in-house card-processing environment to protect sensitive card, financial, and tax-related data
03Write clean, maintainable production code and build operational tooling across software, infrastructure, and security controls
04Collaborate with internal engineering teams to support migrations, drive adoption of shared cryptographic capabilities, and ensure safe system design
05Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to maintain high availability, security, and operational reliability as processing volume grows

01Experience building, operating, or supporting production services, distributed systems, or infrastructure
02Proficiency writing production code in at least one modern programming language (such as Python, Go, Java, C#, or C++) with a strong ability to reason about complex systems
03Comfort working across multiple technical domains, including software development, infrastructure, and operational reliability
04Clear and concise communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to explain technical decisions and proactively collaborate when facing challenges
05Curiosity and willingness to learn security engineering principles and participate in a light on-call rotation

01Role is based in Bellevue, WA and Menlo Park, CA offices, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week
