Responsibilities
- 01Support the technical design and operation of Affirm Bank’s BSA/AML and broader compliance programs
- 02Build and maintain transaction-monitoring rules, customer risk-rating capabilities, EDD workflows, and other compliance controls
- 03Configure and improve case-management systems, operational workflows, investigation tools, and escalation processes
- 04Translate compliance requirements into clear system logic, technical requirements, and operational processes
- 05Conduct testing of rules, workflows, system changes, and automated decisions before and after implementation
- 06Monitor control performance, data quality, system reliability, and operational outcomes
- 07Analyze alerts, cases, customer activity, and control results to identify gaps and recommend improvements
- 08Develop dashboards and reporting for Bank Compliance leadership, governance committees, audits, examinations, and regulatory inquiries
- 09Maintain documentation covering system logic, rule changes, testing, approvals, issues, and remediation
- 10Support the implementation of automated and agent-enabled compliance workflows with appropriate oversight and escalation controls
- 11Coordinate technical issues, enhancements, and roadmap priorities across Compliance, Operations, Product, Engineering, Data, and third-party vendors
- 12Help ensure compliance technology adapts to new products, regulatory expectations, and changes to Affirm Bank’s risk profile
Requirements
- 015+ years experience supporting compliance technology, BSA/AML, financial crimes, banking operations, risk systems, or a related function
- 02Understanding of transaction monitoring, customer risk rating, EDD, case management, and compliance-control frameworks
- 03Ability to translate policy or regulatory requirements into practical technical and operational solutions
- 04Strong analytical skills, including experience evaluating data, identifying trends, and investigating control-performance issues
- 05Experience with workflow tools, case-management platforms, dashboards, data queries, or system configuration
- 06Strong written communication and documentation skills
- 07Ability to work effectively across Compliance, Operations, Product, Engineering, and Data teams
- 08Strong attention to detail and an understanding of testing, change management, governance, and audit readiness
