Responsibilities

01Drive overall technical architecture, design, build and launch features/improvements on our platform
02Deliver high-impact complex projects that may span multiple teams and amplify impact by aligning organizations toward coherent architectural strategies
03Drive delivery of business outcomes across multiple teams, including planning and execution
04Collaborate closely with Product Management and UX to get actionable, valuable work defined for the team
05Ensure end-to-end delivery of software, including team ownership of monitoring and production issue remediation
06Coach individuals in professional and technical development to set up for their success
07Hire and mentor Team Leads and Senior Technical Staff members to ensure their success at Toast

01Fintech products solution design, implementation at launch at scale
0210+ years mentoring and growing successful teams
03Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other equivalent quantitative disciplines
045+ years of managing, coaching and growing successful teams
05Highly proficient knowledge in a high-level programming language such as Java, Kotlin, Go, etc.
06Excellent knowledge in other parts of the stack, Postgres, JavaScript (React), Flutter
07Enjoys building well-engineered, usable, and accessible systems
08Experience working in a team with Agile/Scrum methodology
09Have knowledge of and experience in building backend services/APIs
10Have a strong understanding of software engineering, distributed systems, and Event Platforms gained from hands-on experience building fault-tolerant and secure applications
11You have experience working with product teams to invent solutions that deliver good outcomes to our customers and the company
12A bias towards action, with the ability to balance between getting things done and making things perfect
13A strong sense of empathy for customers and teammates
14A desire to build a diverse team that wins together and prioritizes customer success
