Responsibilities
- 01Lead the technical vision and execution for Toast’s partner and integration platforms
- 02Guide a team delivering high-impact features that shape the experience of every Toast customer
- 03Own the frameworks to manage integrations with Toast for all partners and customers
- 04Work with the team to build a feature-rich, consistent, unified experience for anyone connecting to Toast's APIs
- 05Evolve architecture to support complex new features and best-in-class monitoring
- 06Review design documents and pull requests
- 07Facilitate cross-team discussions
- 08Partner with product and architecture on roadmaps
- 09Support team growth through regular 1:1s and feedback
- 10Help drive the operational plan and strategic roadmap
- 11Coach individual contributors for professional and technical development
- 12Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization
- 13Mentor both new and experienced engineers in technology and leadership
- 14Guide teams to build scalable systems
- 15Track and ensure teams are delivering impact and outcomes
- 16Drive knowledge sharing programs across the engineering organization
- 17Hire and develop new team members
- 18Operate effectively in a fast-moving environment
Requirements
- 01Experience writing, delivering, and operating software in a SaaS environment
- 02Experience mentoring and developing successful teams
- 03A strong sense of empathy for customers and teammates
- 04A desire to build a diverse team that wins together and prioritizes customer success
- 05A process-driven approach to engineering leadership
- 06Experience creating operating mechanisms, metrics, monitoring, and feedback loops
- 07Demonstrated success partnering with product stakeholders to drive measurable outcomes
- 08Ability to translate broad strategic goals into clear technical roadmaps and execution plans
