Responsibilities
- 01Advise customers and resolve complex challenges across MongoDB Core, drivers, Atlas, Cloud Manager, cloud platforms, and infrastructure
- 02Help customers troubleshoot complex issues and run critical MongoDB workloads with confidence
- 03Solve customer challenges across architecture, performance, recovery, and security
- 04Lead investigations from diagnosis to resolution, providing clear, actionable guidance
- 05Partner with Product Management and Engineering to advocate for customers and improve MongoDB
- 06Build tools, documentation, and training while mentoring peers and raising technical excellence
Requirements
- 015–6 years of experience in technical support, systems engineering, database administration, SRE, or a related field
- 02Experience running complex, mission-critical production database systems
- 03Strong Linux and systems engineering skills, including performance, memory, I/O, storage, networking, security, clustering, and troubleshooting
- 04Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols, including DNS, TCP/IP, and SSL/TLS
- 05Ability to read code and write basic scripts in one or more languages, such as Python, Java, JavaScript, Go, C++, or Ruby
- 06Experience analysing issues across the application, database, operating system, storage, and infrastructure layers
- 07Awareness of customer workloads, including performance, availability, scalability, and security requirements
- 08Excellent customer communication, prioritisation, collaboration, and decision-making skills, including the judgement to seek help when needed
