Responsibilities
- 01Lead design strategy and execution across Coinbase One membership, CB1 Card, and the broader Loyalty surface area, spanning multiple product and engineering pods
- 02Be a player/coach and develop a team of product designers (IC4-IC5), providing structured coaching, career development, and regular design crits
- 03Partner with senior Product and Engineering leads to shape roadmaps, drive alignment, and represent design in leadership forums
- 04Drive 0-to-1 strategic design work including membership evolution, retention mechanics, and rewards experiences
- 05Set and maintain a high quality bar across all Loyalty surfaces through structured review processes (design crits, DRRs, workbench sessions)
- 06Represent Loyalty design in exec-level reviews and cross-functional leadership syncs
Requirements
- 018+ years of product design experience
- 02Proven track record leading design for subscription, loyalty, or membership products at scale (1M+ users)
- 03Experience partnering with senior product and engineering leaders to shape strategy, define roadmaps, and influence prioritization
- 04Demonstrated ability to set systems-level vision while simultaneously shipping high-quality work on weekly/biweekly cadences
- 05Experience managing IC designers through structured feedback loops, promotion cycles, and measurable career growth outcomes
- 06Familiarity with consumer fintech, payments, or credit card product design
- 07Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality
