Responsibilities

  • 01Own and deliver quarterly goals for your team
  • 02Lead engineers on your team through ambiguity to solve open-ended problems

  • 09Advocate for identified issues and lead in solving them
  • 10Support operations and availability of team artifacts
  • 11Create and monitor metrics

  • 13Foster culture of quality and ownership
  • 14Set or improve code review and design standards
  • 15Advocate for standards beyond team through writing and tech talks
  • 16Help develop talent on team by providing feedback and guidance

Requirements

  • 014+ years experience designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale
  • 02Experience with languages like Python or Kotlin
  • 03Track record of developing highly available distributed systems
  • 04Experience with technologies like AWS, MySQL and Kubernetes
  • 05Experience building and managing Workflow Orchestration frameworks like Airflow, Flyte, Prefect, Temporal, Luigi
  • 06Working knowledge of efficiently scaling frameworks like Spark/Flink for large scale datasets on Kubernetes
  • 07Experience defining technical plan for delivery of significant features
  • 08Ability to write high quality code easily understood by others
  • 09Proficient at making significant changes in large code base
  • 10Developed tools and practices for safe code changes
  • 11Takes ownership of growth and proactively seeks feedback
  • 12Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • 13Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent practical experience
