Responsibilities
- 01Lead, grow, and develop a team of roughly 4-8 library engineers
- 02Own team delivery and productivity: planning, milestones, reviews, and the on-call rotation
- 03Set product direction with Product Management and balance priorities across App & API Protection, Workload Protection, and Code Security
- 04Stay technically close to the work — apply strong technical judgment, contribute code where it matters most, and keep quality and architecture high
- 05Build strong relationships and drive alignment across the language teams and product, backend, and frontend partners
- 06Shape team identity and culture, and own accountability when problems occur
Requirements
- 01Experience managing a team of engineers — setting direction with Product Managers, owning a backlog, and running delivery
- 02A senior software-engineering background with strong technical judgment
- 03A track record developing people: coaching, direct feedback, and helping engineers, both senior and struggling, grow
- 04Strong cross-team communication, comfortable driving alignment across many stakeholders
- 05Experience building libraries, SDKs, developer tooling, or systems/run-time software
- 06Pragmatic product-engineering experience — you've worked with Product Managers and weighed technical trade-offs against customer impact
